Chan Yin Wah Fiona is a Psychometrician in the Centre and is also enrolled as a PhD student in the Department of Psychology at the University of Cambridge. In 2009 she spent a semester at the University of California, Berkeley in the USA in 2009. She obtained her BSc in Psychology from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2012 and an MPhil in Social and Developmental Psychology (with Distinction) from Cambridge in 2013.

Yin Wah's area of specialism is the application of Differential Item Functioning analysis to trans-cultural ability-test data, an interest she developed as an intern in The Psychometrics Centre during the summer of 2011. She has also interned with various bodies in Hong Kong, including Aon Hewitt and Axial Capital Management. Fiona is fluent in English, Cantonese (her mother tongue) and Mandarin and has a fair knowledge of German. She is an active sportswoman, holding various Chinese National Awards in Fencing and a 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
