The TRUSS Inventory is a team role assessment for service-oriented organisations, based on the Big Five model of personality. It provides individuals with detailed narrative feedback on the team role that they are most comfortable and least comfortable adopting. When used with groups in occupational settings, the TRUSS can help to provide a common framework within which to have conversations about different perspectives and approaches to problems within a service culture. The instrument was originally developed by the Psychometrics Centre for use within an executive education programme aimed at helping a highly technical organisation to transform its culture to be more service and customer-oriented.

Each of the five team roles is also accompanied by a symbolic bridge type, which provides an engaging visual representation of each individual's results. The five team roles and bridges are:

  1. Innovator (Millau Viaduct)
  2. Pragmatist (Pont du Gard)
  3. Perfectionist (Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge)
  4. Mediator (Bosphorus Bridge)
  5. Motivator (Trift Suspension Bridge)

The TRUSS is published by the Psychometrics Centre and available for online administration. Currently we only have an English language version. The cost is £15 GBP per administration. A minimum order of 10 tokens applies. Please contact us to place orders and for further information. Our testing system produces automatic feedback reports, showing a standardised score for the individual and textual interpretation of what their score means.
