The Psychometrics Centre

Cambridge Judge Business School

The link between The Psychometrics Centre and Pearson Assessment began 20 years ago when the Psychological Corporation, then the World's largest publisher of psychometric tests, first opened its Europen Offices in London in 1989. At that time their flagship product, the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC) had just been updated in the US from the previous edition, WISC(R), to a more advanced 3rd Revision, and The Psychological Corporation made the UK adaptation of the new WISC-III its top priority. John Rust, then at Goldsmiths College, University of London, was chosen to lead this project which let to the successful publication of WISC-III (UK) in 1992.

The Psychological Corporation was subsequently acquired by Harcourt and then, in 2007, by the Pearson Group who now publish its products under the Pearson Assessment brand. Throughout this time our relationship with the London team has endured, and we are proud to look back on the joint production of over 20 or the UKs most renowned psychometric products. These include:

Clinical Evaluation of Language Fundamentals (CELF-IV and Preschool CELF-III)
Motor Assessment Battery for Children - 2nd Revison (MABC-II)
Ravens Progressive Matrices (Educational)
