The University of Cambridge Psychometrics Centre is collaborating with the Faculty of Psychology at Beijing Normal University and Microsoft Research Asia to host the Beijing site for the Summer Institutes in Computational Social Science.

This intensive 2-week programme from 30 Jun – 12 Jul 2024 is themed “Artificial Intelligence and Social Sciences”. It provides graduate students, postdoctoral and early career researchers with hands-on learning and skill sharing on topics such as foundation models (including large language models), social media and text analysis, network analysis, and psychometrics.

The programme will take place in person at Beijing Normal University. It will include a series of keynote seminars and invited talks with computational and social science leaders from academia and industry. Participants will be invited to visit Microsoft Research Asia and attend the International Conference on Cognitive and Psychological Assessment and Enhancement (ICCPAE2024).
