The Psychometrics Centre and Speech Link have a long history of collaboration on interesting psychometric questions arising from Speech Link's provision of advanced linguistic assessments. Our current project covers several areas, including:
- Analysing data to understand the key stages of development in child language ability and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions
- Conducting CAT simulations on response data from Speech Link's tests to support business decisions
- Advising on order effects and distractor analyses to optimise response data quality and test resilience
- Providing recommendations on the implementation of computer-adaptive testing engines
- Concurrent estimation of item parameters using IRT methods
