About
Chris is Director of Health Assessment and Innovation at The Psychometrics Centre, Co-Director of the Patient-Reported Outcomes, Value & Experience (PROVE) Center at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and member of the faculty at Harvard Medical School. He was a National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Post-doctoral Fellow based at the Cambridge Centre for Health Services Research, and a Research Associate at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge. His current work focuses on both assessing the impact of interventions which seek to improve processes and outcomes of care using patient-reported assessment measures and more fundamental research to ensure that assessments have the greatest potential for patient benefit. This latter involves the application of computer adaptive testing, tailored feedback, and machine learning algorithms to improve the accuracy, feasibility, and effectiveness of patient-reported assessments to improve clinical research, audit, and care. At The Psychometrics Centre, Chris delivers training courses on psychometrics and machine-learning, and is responsible for developing Concerto as a tool to create and deploy patient-reported assessments across health services worldwide.
