Pearson Assessment

The link between The Psychometrics Centre and Pearson Assessment began 20 years ago when the Psychological Corporation, then the World's largest publisher of psychometric tests, first opened its Europen Offices in London in 1989. At that time their flagship product, the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC) had just been updated in the US from the previous edition, WISC(R), to a more advanced 3rd Revision, and The Psychological Corporation made the UK adaptation of the new WISC-III its top priority. John Rust, then at Goldsmiths College, University of London, was chosen to lead this project which let to the successful publication of WISC-III (UK) in 1992.

The Psychological Corporation was subsequently acquired by Harcourt and then, in 2007, by the Pearson Group who now publish its products under the Pearson Assessment brand.
